Director of Finance & Tax Heather Cook oversees the company’s Finance division, which prepares the financial and tax information for over 100 legal entities operating in the southeastern United States and Puerto Rico.

With more than two decades of tax, financial planning, and cash management experience, Heather liaises between management and Sembler’s tax return advisors while facilitating the financial goals and reporting responsibilities of the company. She works closely with Sembler’s investments and development departments to ensure the fulfillment of cash management and reporting requirements.

Prior to joining Sembler in 2000, she worked for the tax departments of Coopers & Lybrand, L.L.P. and Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc.

A licensed Florida Certified Public Account, she is a member of the AICPA and FICPA. She also promotes fundraising for the SPCA Tampa Bay.

Heather earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration, accounting at the University of Missouri-St. Louis and her Master of Accountancy, taxation at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Heather enjoys being outdoors in the Florida weather.
