MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The Sembler Company (Sembler), a prolific grocery-anchored shopping center developer, is proud to announce the opening of a new Publix supermarket located in the Carolina Forest community in Myrtle Beach, SC, on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022. The Mill is a 46-acre mixed-use project including retail, restaurants, multi-family residences developed by Hawthorn Residential Partners, and other commercial uses.

Marketplace at the Mill includes the 46,800 square foot Publix supermarket and two additional buildings totaling 19,880 square feet of small shop space. The small shops are currently nearing completion and are slated to open during the first quarter of 2023. The property includes nine outparcels fronting Carolina Forest Boulevard, ranging in size from 1.0 to 3.16 acres.

The small shops at the center are fully leased and will include Full Belly BBQ, Fortune Asian, River Oaks Pizza, Firehouse Subs, European Wax, Heartland Dental, Grande Nails, and Great Clips. The outparcels will be developed with 7-Eleven gas station & convenience store, Noodles & Co restaurant, Valvoline, drive-thru car wash, and a self-storage center.

Beyer continued that “the Publix-anchored shopping center leasing efforts have been incredibly successful with the small shops being 100% pre-leased eight months before Publix opened. Of the 15 acres of outparcel land available, two thirds have either been sold or under contract to date.”
