J.P. Guzzardo is Vice President of Development at The Sembler Company, in charge of the company’s thriving Build to Suit department. Responsible for acquisitions and management of ground-up development projects throughout the southeastern United States, Guzzardo leads a department that has completed more than 200 stand-alone projects for top-tier clients including CVS, Walgreens, Advance Auto, O’Reilly Auto Parts, McDonalds, Wendy’s, RBC Bank, Starbucks, AT&T, Circle K, Chase Bank, Chick Fil A, Wawa and more.
Guzzardo has been with Sembler for more than a decade, joining the company as Real Estate Manager in 2007. Previously, Guzzardo served as a Real Estate Manager for a national home builder, and as an Underwriter and Lender for AmSouth Bank (now Regions Bank).
At Sembler, Guzzardo is well-known for his participation in and advocacy of company philanthropic programs, particularly the Lunch Pals mentoring program, which matches adult professionals with children in need in Pinellas County public schools. He also participates in projects benefiting Habitat for Humanity, the Foundation for Dreams, the Alzheimer’s Association and more.
He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Estate Investment Council of Tampa, and was recently recognized by the Tampa Bay Business Journal as an “Up & Comer,” an award honoring the “next generation of leaders and innovators in the Tampa Bay business community.”
Guzzardo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University, a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans and has completed the Harvard University School of Business extension program.
