John Paul "J.P." Guzzardo - Vice President of Development and Manager of Build to Suit
J.P. Guzzardo is the Vice President of Development and Manager of Build to Suit Department for The Sembler Company. Guzzardo leads the Build to Suit department within the Continental United States market focused on acquisition and ground up development projects, in addition to building key relationships with top tier clients. Previously, Guzzardo held positions as Real Estate Manager and Director of Real Estate for The Sembler Company. Guzzardo has been with the company since 2007 and brings over 11 years of commercial real estate experience. In total, he has been responsible among others for the development of more than forty single tenant build-to-suit projects across the US market along with many active pipeline retail projects. Satisfied clients for the program include Eckerd Drugs Stores/CVS, Walgreens, Advance Auto, McDonalds, RBC Bank, Starbucks, AT&T, Chase Bank, and Wawa and others.
Prior to joining SEMBLER, Guzzardo served as a Real Estate Manager for McCar Homes (an Atlanta, GA based Homebuilder/Developer), where he was responsible for the acquisition and disposition of all Florida projects including initial design, entitlements, and financial modeling for the development and completion of such projects.
Prior to McCar Homes, Guzzardo served as an Underwriter and Lender for Birmingham, AL based Amsouth Bank (now Regions Bank) where he underwrote over $1.3 Billion Dollars in construction/development loans for projects including retail shopping centers, condominiums, apartments, industrial projects, and residential land developments throughout the Southeast.
Guzzardo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana State University, a Masters of Business Administration from Loyola University New Orleans and has completed Harvard University School of Business extension program. JP is a member of the I.C.S.C. and Real Estate Investment Council of Tampa. In addition, he is an active member of Habitat For Humanity.
